How great would it be to have your own pictures blown up and on display for everyone to see in your home, office, or classroom? With how greatly popular digital photography has become, so has the demand to produce great color prints, enlargements, and posters. It is now easy and affordable to send your color pictures to an online printers and have them reproduced as a glossy poster print and mailed to you within days.
Print quality.
Before you upload your images to a printer, be sure that they are a high enough resolution to be enlarged. At 100% size (ex. 24x36 inches) you will need at least 100 dpi (dots per inch). Ideally, printers like 300 dpi for all images. The larger you blow it up, the lower the resolution will be. Many poster printers will tell you if your image is too small and will often provide you with a screen shot of how it will look. I would not recommend blowing up a camera phone image to the biggest poster size you can find.
